The reason can be for several reasons: deep caries, wear and tear, trauma, gum disease, among others. What happens if the endodontic treatment is not performed?<\/h1>\n

1. Infection or “toothache”:<\/strong>if you feel toothache and don’t go for a check-up, it may be a cavity that will end up affecting the nerve, which will become inflamed and infected.<\/p>\n

2. Fractures and cracks in the teeth:<\/strong>this same problem can lead to a breakage of the tooth, which occurs when the tooth is very decayed inside and, when this area is hollow, it breaks when chewing.<\/p>\n

3. Necrosis or death of the nerve tissue:<\/strong> this occurs as a consequence of the appearance of acute and chronic inflammation, which begins in the coronal area of the pulp tissue, and which will continue to extend to the root\u2019s pulp.<\/p>\n

4. Caries:<\/strong> this is one of the most common conditions in childhood and it is the paediatrician, in most cases, who is in charge of detecting it and referring the child to the dentist.

5. Sepsis:<\/strong> if the infection is not treated it can spread to the blood (sepsis). If it reaches other areas of the body through the blood, it can lead to endocarditis, brain abscess, pneumonia and other diseases (some of which can be life-threatening).

6.
